I lost one of my best friends in 2011. He drowned in the ocean. It was really hard to accept that he was gone. There were so many adventures planned, so many things we still had to do as friends growing up together. One of those dreams was to start businesses, companies, and organizations, that would be named after the both of us. Kind of like those long law firm names. "Khan-Makda Group of Companies" was one of the shortlisted ones. We flipped a coin to see whose name should be first. 

When I decided to start my own business in 2015, I knew I wanted my friend, Faraz Khan, to come on the journey with me. I wanted to honor his friendship, the brotherhood he taught me, and all the good times we shared. So I decided to use his initials, F.K, as the business name.

This is my way of paying tribute to a great friend. A friend who taught me the importance of self belief and hard work.
